“There are no easy games in Africa. We are going to face Nigeria, the last edition’s finalists, and Tunisia, a team that consistently reaches the latter stages of this tournament,” he said after the draw ceremony.

“Tanzania adds the derby element, which is always intense. However, we must believe in ourselves.”

The Taifa Stars will begin their campaign in Morocco against Tunisia on Monday, December 23.

They will face Tanzania in the East Africa derby, before rounding off their group stage campaign against Nigeria on Tuesday, December 30.
