Benin Republic defender Cédric Hountondji will not be part of the Cheetahs squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixtures against Benin Republic and Rwanda.
Cédric Hountondji is currently nursing a hamstring injury, according to the Benin Football Federation.
The Angers of France star picked up the injury during preparation for Benin Republic’s matchday three encounter against the Amavubi of Rwanda.
The centre-back has been sidelined for around one month.

Benin Republic currently occupy second position in Group D with six points from four games.
Gernot Rohr’s side will need to to win the games against Nigeria and Libya to be sure of a place in Morocco 2025.
The Cheetahs will host Nigeria at their makeshift home ground, Felix Houphet Boigny Stadium, Abidjan next week Thursday.
They will be away to Libya four days later.
