Benin Republic defender Mohamed Tijani has been ruled out of this weekend’s 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying tie against the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
Tijani, who plays for Swiss club, Yverdon-Sport picked up an ankle injury in training this week.
The 27-year-old could is now fighting to be fit for the Cheetahs matchday two encounter against the Mediterranean Knights of Libya next week Tuesday.

The centre-back put up a solid display in his country’s 2-1 victory over the Super Eagles in Abidjan in June.
He is expected to travel with the rest of the team to Nigeria on Thursday.
The Cheetahs will be up against the Super Eagles at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo on Saturday.
