Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali trolled Libya’s national team for their time wasting antics against the Super Eagles in Friday’s Group D, AFCON 2025 qualifiers in Uyo.
The Eagles had to contend with time wasting from the visitors who wemt down with the slightest tackles.
The game had to be halted on different occasions so that medical attention could be given to Libyan players ‘injured’.
But all that proved futile as substitute Fisayo Dele-Bashiru bagged the winner with four minutes left to play.
Commenting on the time wasting tactics used by the Libyans, Nwabali wrote in pidgin with a laughing emoji on his X handle: “Who come wise pass? ,” which translates to mean ‘Who is now the wisest’, referring to how the Libyans tried to play smart by time wasting.
Up next for the Eagles is a trip to Benghazi where they will take on Libya in the second leg billed for Tuesday, October 15.
After three games the Eagles, on seven points, top Group D while Libya are bottom with just one point.
