AFCON 2025Q: Super Eagles Plane Permitted To Fly Out Of Libya

The Super Eagles chartered aircraft has been granted permission to fly out of Libya, reports Completesports.com.

The players resolved not to honour Tuesday’s 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matchday four  encounter against the Mediterranean Knights after the ordeal they have undergone since Sunday afternoon at the hands of Libyan authorities.

The Libyans earlier refused to sell aviation fuel to the plane.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) refused attempt by the Libyan authorities

to issue a pre-clearance to land in Benghazi first before they fly to Nigeria.

The players and their officials are already on their way back to Nigeria.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) is expected to take firm action on the incident.
