Wilfred Ndidi says the Super Eagles will be gunning for revenge against the Cheetahs of Benin Republic on Saturday.

The Super Eagles fell to a disappointing 2-1 defeat against the Cheetahs in a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying match in June.

The two teams will meet again in a 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixture in Uyo on Saturday.

Ndidi stated that it is important for the Super Eagles to avenge the loss.

*We know what we did the last time was really bad. The game was really bad so it’s just what we are planning to do now to make everything right because everyone was disappointed in the first game,” Ndidi told reporters.

“But there is no pressure to be honest because we know what we want to do. We know how we want to approach the game.

“We know mentally we are ready; we know physically we’re ready and fit to actually approach these games.”
