Super Eagles caretaker coach Augustine Eguavoen says his side won’t underestimate the Mediterranean Knights of Libya.
The West Africans will host Nasser Al-Hadiri’s side in a 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matchday three encounter at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo on Friday.
The Super Eagles currently top Group D with four points from two games.
Libya on the other hand occupy bottom spot in the group with one point from same number of matches.
Despite the gulf in gap between the two teams, Eguavoen declared that it will be dangerous for the Super Eagles to underrate the North Africans.
“They have one point and are bottom of the group. We are aware of our position and they are aware of their position,” Eguavoen told the Super Eagles media.
“They will come here and fight. We are not thinking about the away game, our focus is the game in front of us on Friday.
“We will fight for the three points. We know what it means to get the job done as quickly as possible.
“It is going to be tough but the boys the are in good spirit. We have no injury and everyone is ready.”
