Super Eagles caretaker coach Augustine Eguavoen has said he was relieved after seeing his side beat Libya in Uyo on Friday.
The West Africans defeated the Mediterranean Knights 1-0 in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matchday three encounter.
Lazio midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru netted the decisive goal four minutes from time.
“It was a huge relief for me and the boys,”Eguavoen said after the game.
“When the goal came, it was a big relief.

“But I expected us to score more goals.
“Overall, we’re happy, we’re still top of the group.”
Eguavoen also blasted the North Africans for their time wasting antics.
“They are a good side, they should play, when we scored, they came out,” he added.
“They defended in numbers in front of their goalkeeper.”
The two teams will clash again in Benina next week Tuesday.
