African Games 2023: Uganda Not Afraid Of Flying Eagles — Ochama

Uganda U-20 head coach Morley Ochama is upbeat on the chances of his charges claiming a famous victory against the Flying Eagles of Nigeria.

The African Games 2023 Group B fixture is slated for the Accra Sports Stadium on Thursday (today).

It will be a rematch of the recent Africa U-20 Cup of Nations clash between the Flying Eagles and Hippos which Nigeria won 1-0.

Ochama acknowledged the pedigree of the Flying Eagles as one of the best teams on the continent, but believes his team have the quality to win the encounter.

“We do respect Nigerians as superpowers of African football,” Ochama was quoted by CAFonline.

“But we don’t fear them.A lot has changed since they beat us the last time, and we are ready to show them we have improved since then.”

Ugandan star, Ronald Madoi echoed his coach’s sentiments, expressing confidence in his team’s ability to overcome Nigeria.

“My colleagues and I are ready to show Nigeria that a lot has changed since we last met,” Madoi affirmed.

“There is nothing new in football these days, including surprises.”
