After Kroos, another Real legend towards the exit

Toni Kroos bid farewell to the Santiago Bernabéu on Saturday, playing his final home match as a Real Madrid player before retiring this summer.

Toni Kroos may not be the only veteran to bid farewell to Los Blancos, although it is not yet clear whether Nacho Fernandez will leave or not.

A few weeks ago, it seemed certain that Nacho would not sign a new contract, which would put an end to his 23 years of collaboration with Real Madrid. However, he has started to doubt his departure in recent weeks and no one knows yet what will happen.

Nacho will make a decision

According to Diario AS, Nacho intends to finalize his decision after the Champions League final, where he will have the opportunity to lift his third European trophy as Real Madrid captain. He is expected to play in place of Eder Militao at Wembley, and it is this importance which brings him closer to being renewed for another 12 months.

If Nacho leaves, he won’t have had the chance to say goodbye to the fans at the Bernabeu, but if he can lead Real Madrid to a 15th European title, it would certainly be a fitting end.
