A first big departure is taking shape in the City of Lights. Recruited in the summer of 2023 for a check of 60 million euros, Manuel Ugarte, who recently played in the Copa América with the Celeste, should not, in fact, last long in the French capital. This Friday, the English press announced, in this regard, that Manchester United had agreed with the Uruguayan midfielder (22 caps) on the terms of a contract.

Information that we are able to confirm since the 23-year-old player has indeed agreed to continue his career at Old Trafford. But that’s not all. According to our latest indiscretions, an agreement is now close to being reached between PSG and Manchester United. If several clubs are currently interested in the Montevideo native, the latter has, moreover, already warned the reigning French champions that the Mancunian team was his number 1 choice.

Operation Ugarte is about to be completed!

After having made official the arrivals of Joshua Zirkzee and Leny Yoro, the Red Devils are about to strike a new big blow in this summer transfer window. Author of three assists in 37 matches in all competitions last season, the former Sporting CP player had initially shone before gradually disappearing from the radar, especially during the big European meetings. Not necessarily meeting Luis Enrique’s expectations in this position, Ugarte will therefore go into exile in the Premier League to try to impose himself definitively.

A championship that seems, moreover, to perfectly match his athletic qualities. For the rest, PSG will for its part collect a nice check. If the English press explained that it is possible that the Red Devils part with Scott McTominay or even Casemiro to align with Parisian demands, an amount of 70 million euros is, currently, regularly mentioned. A sum that should, moreover, allow the Parisians to accelerate on the Joao Neves file.
