Aidan Gillen, Joe Alwyn, Naledi Murray, Ben Chaplin & Sebastian Orozco Round Out Cast Of Sam Esmail’s ‘Panic Carefully’

EXCLUSIVE: Aidan Gillen (Game of Thrones), Joe Alwyn (The Brutalist), Naledi Murray (Sweet Tooth), Ben Chaplin (September 5) and Sebastian Orozco (The Crow) round out the cast of Sam Esmail‘s upcoming film Panic Carefully for Warner Bros.

They join the previously announced leading cast of Julia Roberts, Eddie Redmayne, Elizabeth Olsen, and Brian Tyree Henry.

Details regarding the film’s premise and character descriptions are under wraps. Panic Carefully is described as a paranoid thriller in the vein of Esmail’s Mr. Robot and Silence of the Lambs and involves the hunt for a cyber-terrorist.

Esmail wrote the film and will direct. He and Chad Hamilton will produce for Esmail Corp., along with Scott Stuber, Roberts, Marisa Yeres Gill, and Lisa Gillan. Kevin McCormick and Chrystal Li are overseeing the project for Warner Bros.

Gillen is known for portraying “Petyr ‘Littlefinger’ Baelish” in HBO’s critically acclaimed hit Game of Thrones, “Milo Sunter” in Mayor of Kingstown, “Mayor Thomas ‘Tommy’ Carcetti” in The Wire, and “Aberama Gold” in Peaky Blinders. Upcoming features include Black Noise opposite Kate Phillips and WWII thriller The Duel. Film credits include Bohemian Rapsody, Maze Runner: The Death Cure, and Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials, among many others. Gillen is repped by Greene Talent, The Coronel Group, Independent Talent Group, and McKuin Frankel Whitehead.

Alwyn currently stars as “Harry Lee” in the critically acclaimed film The Brutalist directed by Brady Corbet and opposite Adrien Brody and Guy Pearce. He starred in Searchlight Pictures’ Kinds of Kindness alongside Margaret Qualley, Willem Dafoe and Emma Stone, and Fox Searchlight’s The Favourite, both directed by Yorgos Lanthimos. Film credits include Harriet, Mary Queen of Scots, and Boy Erased.

Alwyn is repped by CAA, Management 360, and Independent Talent Group.

Murray, now 14, is currently in her third season playing “Wendy” on the Netflix original series Sweet Tooth, a post-apocalyptic fairytale based on Jeff Lemire’s beloved DC Comic. Murray’s previous television credits include a recurring role as “Luna,” the granddaughter of Edie Falco’s character in the CBS TV crime drama series Tommy, and as “Shelby,” a patient with end-stage leukemia opposite Hugh Grant in the HBO limited series The Undoing from David E. Kelley. Murray is repped by CESD Talent Agency and L’il Angels Unlimited.

Chaplin can currently be seen in Paramount’s critically acclaimed drama September 5 alongside John Magaro and Peter Sarsgaard. Film credits include Snowden, The Legend of Tarzan, Cinderella, Dorian Gray, The Water Horse, The Thin Red Line, The Truth About Cats & Dogs, and The Remains of the Day. Recent series credits include Mrs. Davis, The Nevers, and The Letter for the King. Chaplin is repped by Paradigm, Independent Talent Group in the UK, and Principal Entertainment LA.

Orozco recently wrapped filming on StudioCanal’s WWII drama/thriller Pressure directed by Anthony Maras and starring Andrew Scott and Brendan Fraser. Orozco appeared opposite Bill Skarsgård in Universal’s adaptation of The Crow directed by Rupert Sanders. He also recently wrapped a recurring role in the Sony/MGM+ series Nine Bodies in A Mexican Morgue created by Anthony Horowitz. Recent series credits include CBS’ FBI: International, Paramount’s Halo, and Apple TV+’s Masters of the Air opposite Austin Butler and directed by Cary Fukunaga. Orozco is repped by Independent Talent Group and Magnolia Entertainment.
