Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa
Ondo State Governor, Mr Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has committed to prioritising the delivery of quality healthcare services and infrastructure should he be re-elected.
He stated this as he continued his campaign ahead of the forthcoming governorship election in the state.
Aiyedatiwa, who visited some towns and villages in the Ifedore Local Government Area of the state on Thursday, stated that his administration would not deviate from giving the people the best if elected for a second term.
At the palace of the monarch of Igbara Oke, Oba Adefarakammi Agbede, the governor promised that the needs of the people in the local government area regarding healthcare facilities, road construction, and infrastructural development would be met.
Aiyedatiwa said, “I want to assure you that nothing will distract our administration from providing our people with the best to improve their quality of life. Our administration will continue to prioritise healthcare and infrastructure development if we are elected.”
The traditional ruler, in his remarks, highlighted some of the community’s needs, particularly the rehabilitation of roads within the local government area.
“This road is not just a path; it is the lifeline of our community, connecting our people to opportunities. Its rehabilitation will greatly enhance economic activities,” the monarch demanded.
He added that the community’s Basic Health Centre lacked resident doctors and health personnel, stressing the need for the community to have access to healthcare.
Agbede stated, “Your swift intervention in matters affecting our traditional institution shows your respect for us. This is why you have earned our trust. The road network across this local government requires urgent attention to improve access and facilitate development.
“We need access to reliable healthcare. The absence of a resident doctor has left us vulnerable for too long. We are in dire need of water, and flooding has been a recurring problem. We seek your intervention to address these concerns.”
