Two-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion AJ Styles is set to have a major match against LA Knight at WrestleMania 40. This will be the eighth match for The Phenomenal One at the Grandest Stage of them all.

Recently, while speaking on The Paul Finebaum Show, AJ Styles shared his thoughts on his WrestleMania 40 opponent. The Phenomenal One claimed that he needed to put Knight in his place as he got comfortable very quick.

“Well, LA Knight… He got too comfortable too quick. And I feel like I needed to set him straight and I think how straight I can get him after WrestleMania. When I beat the ‘what’ out of him,” AJ Styles said.

The Phenomenal One’s opponent, the self-proclaimed Megastar LA Knight also recently opened up about their match during an interview with Jim Varsallone of The Miami Herald.

“It’s big, especially if you just look at the last year, where things were and where things have come,” LA Knight said. “It’s a pretty crazy turn of events, if you consider everything in that context. So to look at the fact that it’s me and AJ one-on-one at the fortieth anniversary of WrestleMania, that’s a big one, that big round number, and here we are in Philadelphia, only a couple hours from where I’m from originally in Maryland. That’s pretty wild.

“To have friends and family, and everybody’s gonna be there, you couldn’t really have a much better scenario. Some people would say that this took a long time. I’d be the first to say this took way too long. But in the same token, in a weird way, it’s right on time.

“Man, look, I don’t want to throw those kind of predictions out there, you never know,” LA Knight said. “I don’t want to promise anything like that. But AJ’s a stud, I’m a stud. There’s a lot of tension going into this match, there’s a lot of animosity.

“There’s a lot of energy going into this match. So for damn sure, it could be, as the kids say, a banger, and will it be a show-stealer? I don’t know. Maybe, we’ll let history decide that one. But you can bet your ass it’s gonna be a good one.”

It is to be noted that this will also be LA Knight’s WrestleMania debut.
