AJ Styles shares his thoughts after his return at WWE Royal Rumble.
Before his return, Styles had been sidelined since October. He suffered a ‘”mid-foot ligament sprain” during his match against Carmelo Hayes on the October 4th episode of WWE SmackDown. Styles then made his comeback by competing in the Men’s Royal Rumble match.
In a WWE Royal Rumble digital exclusive, AJ Styles was asked about his return, and his WWE debut in the 2016 Royal Rumble was brought up.
“Wow, almost the same experience with the fans, the WWE Universe,” AJ Styles said. “It’s been a minute because I’ve been hurt, and I’m back. But man, that feeling that you get when you walk down that aisle and thousands of people are screaming, it doesn’t get any better. I don’t know if it gets any better than that. Does it get much better than that? I don’t think so, I don’t know. It’s why I’m still doing this.
AJ Styles also joked that he would never live down getting eliminated by Logan Paul. He then said that he did what he needed to do, as he was in there with “the big dogs”, and he held his ground. Styles stated that in WWE, you would lose and you would win, so you had to accept it and move on to the next big thing.
