The first round of the Europa League, launched on Wednesday evening, ended this Thursday with mixed fortunes for the presumed big fish of the competition.

At home, AS Rome, despite a new goal from Dovbyk, was surprised at the end of the match by Bilbao, thus forced to share the points (1-1).

Same disappointment for Frankfurt who, despite goals from Ekitike and Dina Ebimbe, found themselves trapped by Plzen (3-3). No worries, however, for Ajax and Tottenham, who respectively outclassed Besiktas (4-0) and Qarabag (3-0). And this despite the expulsion of Dragusin from the 8e minute at the Spurs.

Earlier in the evening, Mourinho’s Fenerbahçe defeated Union Saint-Gilloise (2-1). Glasgow Rangers, OL’s future opponents, won in Malmö (0-2).
