Ajax might just have unearthed their next great academy graduate.

A member of the club's youth team left the current crop of stars gobsmacked ahead of their latest match on Thursday night.

The Eredivisie side hosted Telstar at the Johan Cruyff Arena in the Dutch Cup.

Ahead of kick-off, a kid named Zinedine Chaiat took to the pitch to perform kick-ups in front of the crowd.

The youngster went on to complete 2424 consecutive kick-ups, almost delaying the start of the match.

His display of control and skill was so impressive, the first-team players took a break from their warm-ups to watch on.

Amongst those looking on in awe were former Premier League strikers Chuba Akpom and Wout Weghorst.

Chaiat's display finally came to an end, with the kid receiving a standing ovation from the crowd.

He was also congratulated by members of the coaching staff as he made his way past the dugout.

Fans on social media were equally blown away by what they had seen.

Reacting to footage of Chaiat, one supporter commented: "Loved absolutely every bit of this."

Another fan also wrote: "Man of the match. The only one."

The display appeared to inspire the Dutch giants in their cup clash against second tier opposition.

Goals from Akpom and Daniele Rugani sealed a 2-0 victory for Francesco Farioli's side.

Ajax now advance through to the last 16 of this season's Dutch Cup.

Meanwhile, they currently sit second in the league table, six points behind leaders PSV.
