Ajax goalkeeper Diant Ramaj has welcomed interest from Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea and believes he is ready to make the step up to the Premier League.

The 22-year-old, who only moved to Amsterdam from Eintracht Frankfurt last summer, has been one of few bright sparks for the Dutch giants in a disappointing campaign.

His strong displays have seen him linked with a summer switch, with Arsenal, United and Chelsea – among others – all believed to be keeping tabs on him.

The German is viewed as an ideal number two for both the Gunners and United, who already have David Raya and Andre Onana respectively, but he could compete for the number one jersey at Stamford Bridge.

Ramaj has now addressed the speculation and while he has embraced the rumours – and would not be scared of a move to the Premier League – he is content at Ajax for now.

Asked about the rumoured interest from the trio of Premier League giants, Ramaj told Voetbal International: ‘I’ve heard that too, yes. I see things like that as feedback for my work here.

‘I see the fact that big clubs are showing interest as a compliment. I will continue to work on everything, as I am doing now.’

He continued: ‘I don’t let myself get carried away, I just stay calm and keep improving details.

‘That’s all that’s in my head, I’m too busy for other things [like a transfer] – that’s work for my agents to deal with.’

Asked if he feels ready to make a step up to a more competitive league, he added: ‘I’m not afraid of anything, because I know what I can do.

‘I just want to do my best here, let’s see what the future brings.’

Ramaj has kept just four clean sheets in 20 Eredivisie appearances this season and conceded 30 times, but he has been playing behind an ever-changing back four that has performed well below expectations.

He kept Aston Villa at bay in the first leg of their Europa Conference League last-16 clash, though then shipped four goals in the return leg at Villa Park as Ajax exited the tournament in rather meek fashion.
