Yutaka Yoshie tragically passed away following a match in Takasaki.
On March 10, All Japan Pro Wrestling announced that Yutaka Yoshie, 50, passed away following his match at their event in Takasaki. The announcement noted that, after he returned backstage, his condition “suddenly deteriorated”, and he was rushed to a hospital in Takasaki City, but he did not return home, as Takasaki’s family informed the company that he passed away.
The cause of death and further details are not known at this time.

AJPW then announced that the company had postponed the airing of its March 11 event following Yoshie’s passing.
Yutaka Yoshie debuted in 1994 and wrestled for NJPW for several years until he left in 2006. He then started competing for various companies, including Pro Wrestling Zero1, NOAH, and more. Yoshie was a former IWGP Tag Team Champion with Hiroshi Tanahashi. He also won the AJPW World Tag Team Championship and the NWA Intercontinental Tag Team Championship, among other accolades.
