Akwa Ibom First Lady championed many humanitarian causes, APC mourns

The ruling All Progressives Congress on Friday condoled with the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Umo Eno, over the death of his wife, Patience, saying she impacted greatly in the lives of her people.

The National Publicity Secretary of the APC, Felix Morka, stated this in a condolence message issued in Abuja.

The Akwa Ibom First Lady passed away in an undisclosed hospital following a brief illness.

The news of her demise was announced in a statement signed by the Commissioner for Information, Ini Ememobong, titled ‘Unexpected Sunset.’

Reacting, Morka lamented that the people of Akwa Ibom State will miss her dearly.

He said, “It is with great shock and sadness that the All Progressives Congress has received the news of the passing of the First Lady of Akwa Ibom state, Mrs. Patience Umo Eno. We extend our heartfelt condolences to the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, on the passing of his beloved wife.

“The late Mrs Patience Umo Eno will be fondly remembered as a wonderful and God-fearing human being, a social entrepreneur and avid humanitarian who championed a great many causes to uplift and better the lives of her people. Her noble strides will, no doubt, remain evergreen in the hearts of all she touched and blessed with her life.

“Our solemn thoughts and prayers are with the first family, the government, and the good people of Akwa Ibom State at this difficult time. May the soul of the late Mrs. Patience Umo Eno, find eternal rest.”
