Al-Nassr have been linked with a move for Manchester United winger Antony.

According to Football Insider, Antony has emerged as a target for Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr as they seek a new winger this summer.

An initial approach has been made, as per the report, but they had been interested in Barcelona’s Raphinha.

Al-Nassri’s focus has reportedly switched to Antony, who played with Cristiano Ronaldo for the Reds during the first half of the 2022/23 season.

While Ronaldo’s second spell at United came to a nightmare end, Antony’s has also had a bleak time at Old Trafford as he tends to be labelled a ‘flop’ by many critics.

Antony cost United a whopping £86m in a transfer from Ajax, as per The Athletic.

Antony has made 82 appearances for United, registering 16 goal contributions, and there are question marks over whether he will have a place in the starting line-up in the upcoming season.

Football Insider claims United are open to allowing Antony to leave on loan, provided his £100,000-per-week wages are covered.

The Brazil international has three years left to run on his contract.

Casemiro set to stay

The Reds hoped that one of the Saudi Pro League clubs would come knocking on the door for another Brazilian, who is likely to remain at Old Trafford for another season at least.

Casemiro, 32, was one of the many United players who struggled last season.

It looks like his legs are gone but United have been unable to find a buyer for the veteran midfielder.

United must find an upgrade in the transfer market to protect the back four next season.
