Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr have already ‘held talks’ with Casemiro’s representatives amid the strong likelihood of the midfielder leaving Manchester United this forthcoming summer.
That is what is being reported by Caught Offside, with the suggestion that United are open to selling the experienced Brazilian this summer after a campaign of regression.
Casemiro has not resembled a shadow of his former self and it’s been difficult to watch. Especially when it’s your team, which has just one defensive midfielder in the squad. Sofyan Amrabrat doesn’t count and the sooner his loan ends the better.
It is being reported that Al Nassr are ‘ready’ to try and bid €40 million (£34.4m at the current rate) to try and take him to Saudi Arabia for the next chapter of his career.
The report claims Al Nassr are prepared to offer Casemiro a three-year contract.
It all boils down to whether Casemiro wants to take his career to the Middle East. His performance levels aren’t what they used to be, and he’s experienced life at a big club away from Real Madrid.
United will also look to gain from the deal, which is a bonus financially.
Casemiro was subject to heavy criticism this week after United’s 4-0 defeat to Crystal Palace. It was arguably his worst performance in a United shirt, and he’s had some bad ones this term.
