After Manchester United’s brilliant victory against West Ham United yesterday, Alan Shearer has now advised caution.

For Erik ten Hag, who got a unique look at the project he’s working on, the triumph was immensely satisfying.

Rasmus Hojlund is now a player that is becoming more and more confident with each game that goes by.

Alejandro Garnacho was also outstanding—there were many good things about him.

Alan Shearer, however, cautioned Man United supporters not to get carried away during an interview with Gary Lineker on the podcast “The Rest is Football.

Shearer was pleased with United’s victory at West Ham and thought the youthful core of ten Hag played well.

The former striker did, however, warn supporters that even though we’ve been here before, consistency still haunts Old Trafford.

Lineker initially said: “Ten Hag said in an interview he was asked about [Kobbie] Mainoo, Garnacho and Hojlund. He said that he thinks the future with those kind of players is very bright.”

Shearer replied: “Really, really talented individuals aren’t they so I get that and understand that but it’s just the consistency with Manchester United.

“We have been there before and maybe in a month’s time we will be criticising them again.

“One week I think they are back and the next I think oh no, it’s another disappointment so they have to keep the results going.”

The win against West Ham continues the impressive run of the club. With recent victories against Newport and Wolves, the players are looking like getting into their best form lead by the young trio of Hojlund, Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo.
