Alan Shearer has urged Chelsea to go out and buy another striker in the transfer market after a season plagued by a lack of goals.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side seems to be finally finding a sliver of form as we approach the end of the campaign, winning three games on the bounce, including victories against both Tottenham and West Ham.
But despite scoring a combined 7 goals against their London rivals, the Blues are still in need of an out-and-out number nine, who can bag them a consistent amount of goals.
Cole Palmer has helped with this massively this season, scoring 21 goals in 32 Premier League games after making the move from Manchester City in the summer.

But fellow new signings, Christopher Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson, have failed to replicate that impact although the latter has popped up with 14 goals so far.
Speaking on Match of the Day, Shearer heaped praise onto Jackson but still outlined the clubs need for a number nine.
“He’ll learn, he’ll get better, he’ll bring someone in I’m sure.” He said via Football.London.
“They do need another number nine because he’s not ready to be a regular there, he’s had to put up with that all season and that’s why we’re picking little bits from him.”
