While the Girondins could have requested the postponement of the trip to Rodez, the scapular club will be present at the meeting on Saturday.

The match between Rodez and Bordeaux will be held as planned, next Saturday, at 7 p.m. The Girondins did not wish to request its postponement from the LFP despite the psychological distress of the Bordeaux players after Albert Elis’ serious accident.

Victim of a violent blow to the head, the Honduran striker was in fact placed in an artificial coma and underwent brain surgery to reduce the hematoma. And by the club’s own admission, its player’s vital prognosis remains compromised.

The trip to Aveyron could however be hot given the dispute between the two clubs since the incidents during the reception of the RAF at the Matmut Arena on the occasion of the last day of the season, last May. Lucas Buades had been pushed by a spectator and had to be evacuated, resulting in a lost match for the Girondins, then in the race for the play-offs.
