Alec Baldwin‘s team is speaking out after the Rust case has come to an end. The actor had faced an involuntary manslaughter case following the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, who died on the set of Rust. The gun that Alec was holding fired, with the bullet striking and killing Halyna. Back in July, a New Mexico judge decided to dismiss the involuntary manslaughter trial against Alec over “critical” bullet evidence that was introduced into the case. The Santa Fe District Attorney’s Office was appealing the decision, but they just withdrew it, officially putting an end to the legal proceedings.
