Observant Manchester United fans online didn’t waste the opportunity to poke fun at Man City’s Phil Foden after Alejandro Garnacho’s 007 Instagram post.

Garnacho has been keeping his followers up to date on his travels after competing in the Copa America.

The talented winger was part of the Argentina side that won the tournament outright, winning their third consecutive major international tournament (Copa America x2 & World Cup).

While holidaying on the Greek island of Mykonos with girlfriend Eva Garcia and son Enzo, Garnacho shared several images of the family, including one on a yacht featuring James Bond’s 007 logo.

United supporters were impressively quick to notice the numbers were representative of Foden’s stats at Euro 2024 – zero goals and zero assists in seven games. They used this as bait to joke about the City midfielder.

A lot of the jokes on X point to how Foden appears to be on holiday with Garnacho, and we are certain that the United forward will find it funny once he’s aware of the 007 reference and Foden’s stats this summer.

Despite his poor showing at the European Championship, Foden was Gareth Southgate’s preferred outlet on the left initially, and then as a double-pronged number 10 duo alongside Jude Bellingham.

Both players will face each other in the Community Shield at Wembley on August 10. That promises to be a fantastic day out at Wembley.
