Alex Kane is one of the top stars in MLW and the leader of the Bomaye Fight Club. Initially, it was a two-person group comprising of Kane and Mr. Thomas. The group has welcomed other members in recent years, with the most recent being NJPW/TNA star Kevin Knight.
During an interview with WrestleZone Managing Editor Bill Pritchard, Kane was asked what part of his career he’d like fans to talk about more. Kane shared that he wishes that fans would focus more on the Bomaye Fight Club as a group rather than giving him more attention.
“This is going to sound weird because you always want all the attention on yourself. But I’m not that way. I’ve never been that way. I wish there was more attention on the group itself,” Kane said. “Right now we’re in a story with WTF. But I feel like the focus even with that one was still on me and I wish it was more on me, Thomas, and now Kevin Knight, instead of it just being Alex Kane, and then he has his team.”

Kane hopes to work more as a tag team, aiming for a title run. He also highlighted the value that Knight brings to the Bomaye Fight Club, calling him a future World Champion in the making.
“One, he’s just cool. He’s effortlessly cool. Me and Thomas are already cool but I think he adds a different kind of cool to the group, different kind of excitement,” Kane said. “And also a different kind of style. Me and Thomas, I’m a powerhouse, Thomas is a powerhouse, and also an athlete. But Kevin Knight is on another level of athleticism.
“And that’s been sorely needed within the group. I feel like he can definitely be a major player in the National Openweight… He can be World Champion. But I guess for right now, in that Middleweight, now Openweight territory. I feel he could really make a big splash and that’s what I want for him,” Alex Kane said.
