Newcastle United official announcement – 9 May 2024:

Alexander Isak has been nominated for the 2023/24 Premier League’s Hublot Young Player of the Season award.

The 24-year-old striker has been in blistering form for the Magpies during the 2023/24 campaign, with the Swedish frontman scoring 20 goals in 27 English top-flight outings and has netted ten times in as many matches since recovering from a groin injury in February.

Isak, who was nominated for the award last term after an impressive maiden campaign at St. James’ Park since joining from Real Sociedad, features on an eight-man shortlist which includes Manchester City pair Erling Haaland and Phil Foden, Arsenal duo Bukayo Saka and William Saliba, Cole Palmer of Chelsea, Manchester United’s Kobbie Mainoo and Destiny Udogie of Tottenham Hotspur.

Voting is now open here, and closes at 12pm (BST) on Monday, 13th May.

The winner will be announced on Saturday, 18th May at 10am (BST).’
