Algeria formalized the arrival of its new coach this Thursday.

After ending its collaboration with Djamel Belmadi following the Fennecs fiasco at CAN 2024, the Algerian Football Federation has found its successor. This is the Bosnian Vladimir Petkovic, whose arrival was made official this Thursday.

The former Switzerland coach, who also played for the Girondins de Bordeaux, will arrive in Algiers this Sunday and will hold a press conference on Monday.

The new coach will have the mission of qualifying the Greens for the quarter-finals of the next CAN, but also for the 2026 World Cup.
