Ali Fazal resumes shooting Lahore and Thug Life as paternity leave ends; says, “I’m ready to juggle my responsibilities”

Actor Ali Fazal has returned to work following a brief paternity leave and is ready to dive back into his pecking schedules for the upcoming films Lahore and Thug Life. Ali and his wife, actress Richa Chadha, welcomed their first child together – a baby girl on July 16, 2024. For the last 7.5 weeks, Ali took a short break to support Richa and relish his new role as a father.

Ali Fazal: I cherished every moment of my break

Ali Fazal, known for his remarkable versatility and dedication to his craft, shared his excitement about balancing his personal and professional commitments. The ‘Mirzapur’ actor said, “Becoming a father has been the most fulfilling experience of my life. I cherished every moment of my break, staying close to Richa and our daughter. Now, I am ready to juggle my responsibilities and return to the sets with renewed energy and enthusiasm.”

On July 20 – a couple of days after the birth of their daughter, Ali Fazal and Richa Chadha took to social media and announced her arrival with a sweet post. The ‘Fukrey’ co-stars shared a picture of their daughter’s feet and a small caption. It read, “Doing a collab post to announce the biggest collab of our lives!! We’ve been blessed indeed. Our baby girl continues to keep us very very busy. So Thank you all for your love and blessings ..”

Their official statement read, “We are tickled pink with joy to announce the arrival of a healthy baby girl on 16.07.24! Our families are over joyed and we thank our well wishers for their love and blessings!”

Ali Fazal’s upcoming projects

Fazal has a packed calendar ahead, including six major projects. These include Thug Life, Lahore, Rakt Bramhand, Metro In Dino, and the Hollywood film Afghan Dreamers.
