Alia Bhatt admits she has no ‘me time’ after welcoming daughter Raha Kapoor

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are among the most popular and stylish couples in Bollywood. The duo tied the knot in April 2022 and are proud parents to cute baby girl Raha. The little one is already the paparazzi’s favourite and her pictures and videos instantly go viral on the internet. In a recent interview with Allure, mommy Alia Bhatt made cute revelations about daughter Raha Kapoor and it’s simply adorable. She also shares how she strikes balance between motherhood and career.

Reminiscing fond moments with Raha, Alia shares details about the time she first time called her ‘mama’. “The first time my daughter Raha, she said ‘mama’, it was just me and her, we were playing on her playing mat. The backstory is — there was a fight at home (about) Whether she is going to say mama first or whether she is going to say papa first. So, of course mama was like (say), ‘mama, mama, mama,’ and papa was like (say), ‘papa, papa, papa.’ And when she said that, it was just me and her, I immediately pulled out my phone and said, ‘say it say it again, what did you just say…’”. Alia then described how Raha said “mama” in a low voice and how she made her say “mama” in normal voice for the video she was recording on her phone to show Ranbir.

She added, “We take great joy and pride in that moment. So, I remember that moment very clearly and I have it on video. So anybody who needs proof, she said ‘mama’ first.”

Alia on motherhood

Alia Bhatt has opened up about the challenges of motherhood and shared she has no ‘me time’ left. “My main focus is managing both roles effectively while trying to carve out some personal time, which I haven’t been able to do. I’ll be candid—there’s no such thing as ‘me time.’ I haven’t even had a therapy session in the past two months.” She also spoke about Raha and said, “Raha is naughty, chatty, and sometimes shy. She’s truly her own person, but she’s very bright.” Elaborating more on motherhood, she said, “Your soul is sort of fulfilled, but you are also always full of fear and nerves because of just wanting to do it right and wanting to do it well.”

For those unversed, Alia and Ranbir welcomed Raha on November 6, 2022. She made her first public appearance during Christmas 2023 and since then been the most talked about starkid.
