According to recent reports, Alia Bhatt is gearing up to produce a young adult web series in partnership with Amazon Prime Video. A highly sought-after actress in Bollywood, Alia has been occupied with her work on Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War, which reunites her with co-stars Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal. This collaboration with Amazon marks her second project with the streaming service, following her earlier work on Poacher.
Alia Bhatt To Produce Young Adult Web Series
A report from Mid-day reveals that Alia Bhatt is set to create a young adult web series through her production company, Eternal Sunshine Productions. The team is currently finalizing the script. “It’s a high-concept, young adult series set in an urban Indian college campus—think slice-of-life meets coming-of-age. The narrative plays out from the point of view of two young couples,” a source close to the development was quoted as saying.
“She is certain that the chosen faces should be real-life 20-somethings, whom the audience can relate to. Four fresh faces will be launched with the series,” the source further added. Sources suggest that Alia aims to introduce new talent in this series, and the casting process is already underway. An insider noted that Alia desires the show to possess an authentic feel. If all goes as planned, filming for the series is expected to commence later this year.
Additionally, it has come to light that her production house is also adapting Manju Kapur’s novel, Difficult Daughters, which will be directed by Alia’s mother, veteran actress Soni Razdan. Furthermore, Shaheen Bhatt is developing another series under the same banner.
Alia Bhatt’s Upcoming Project
On the acting front, Alia Bhatt is set to appear in YRF’s first female spy film, Alpha. It has been directed by Shiv Rawail and will feature Sharvari in the lead role. This film is slated for release on Christmas 2025. In the meantime, she is also involved in the romantic epic Love & War. It is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, which will be released on March 19, 2026.
