WWE released a lot of people over the pandemic, and Aliyah hasn’t been out much since she was cut. Now, it appears that she has landed a new gig as a pro wrestling DJ.
Aliyah has confirmed a new career direction. She signed a developmental contract with the Stamford-based company in March 2015 and made her main roster debut in 2017. Sadly, things did not pan out for her on the pain roster after years of grinding in NXT.
The 29-year-old had a notable achievement in the company when she won the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship alongside Raquel Rodriguez in August 2022. Unfortunately, Aliyah sustained an injury shortly after, leading to months of inactivity. In September 2023, she was released from the company without making a single television appearance in the year.
While taking to Instagram, Aliyah shared a big announcement. In a video post, the former WWE Superstar informed her followers about an upcoming event at a ‘Wrestling Nightclub’ in Toronto scheduled for January 26th.
Aliyah is set to be present at the event as a Special Guest DJ, providing insights about the upcoming happening in the video clip. We’re not really sure how this will pan out, but it seems like a lot of fun, and a night full of pro wrestling theme songs.
