The CW is starting to give a glimpse at its upcoming scripted slate beyond the spring.

Earlier today, the network announced spring premiere dates for All American, Walker and more. During the Television Critics Association panel, CW President of Entertainment Brad Schwartz indicated where the network is placing its two other major scripted shows this year.

All American: Homecoming Season 3 will likely debut in the summer, as Schwartz said the show is “finally getting to a place where it can stand on its own” without a lead-in from the flagship series — which is how the first two seasons operated.

Schwartz said that the plan is for the abbreviated 13-episode season of All American will move directly into 13 episodes of Homecoming.

As for Superman & Lois, Schwartz argued that the final season would be “wasted” in the summer, as he believes it will rival the rest of the fall broadcast slate across competing networks.

“I watched the first episode last night,” Schwartz teased. “It will make you cry.”

No specific release dates have been set for these two series yet.

Superman & Lois is ending this season, but neither All American show has a fate beyond this season so far. Same goes for Walker. As for where they’re likely to go, Schwartz believes the future is bright.

“We’ve gotten both of those shows to an economic area where, as long as they keep rating, there’s no reason we can’t keep doing them,” Schwartz said.
