Alphonso Davies has chosen Real Madrid!

Real Madrid lost their goalkeeper yesterday (Thibaut Courtois, injured again, must postpone his return to the field), but they may have gained a left back for next summer. As you know, Casa Blanca has been working on the Alphonso Davies case for several weeks. The 23-year-old Canadian full-back will be at the end of his contract in 2025, and this summer will therefore be a turning point.

Yesterday, Bayern Munich sporting director Max Eberl put pressure on his player. “I can say: we made Alphonso a very concrete and grateful offer. At some point in life, you have to say yes or no.” He also confirmed that he had not received an approach from the Merengues. “Real Madrid has not contacted us.” Bayern's offer, however, would not be likely to satisfy the left-hander, who hopes for €20 million gross per season.

Real Madrid follow Toni Kroos example

The Bavarian club will especially encounter a major problem: Alphonso Davies favors Real Madrid. As reported by the Spanish newspaper Ace this morning, the left-hander only wants to leave Germany to join the Madrid club. He intends to reject extension attempts and thus encourage management to discuss a transfer, to avoid seeing him leave free in 2025.

This is what happened to Toni Kroos in 2014, ten years ago, Real Madrid dropping €25 million to Bayern for their midfielder. The Merengue club is in any case convinced that Davies is the ideal left-back, whether in management like Carlo Ancelotti. They are also sure that the player's choice is made in their favor. Enough to approach the coming months with serenity, before starting negotiations with Bayern Munich.
