American Idol is bringing on Jelly Roll for a brand new role in the show’s upcoming 23rd season. The Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter previously served as a guest mentor during last season’s Hawaii round at Disney’s Aulani Resort, but now he’s going to be the show’s “artist in residence,” a new position that’s being added this year.
