Amitabh Bachchan calls son Abhishek Bachchan’s performance in Guru ‘unbeatable’ as the movie completes 17 years

When you are the son of a legend like Amitabh Bachchan, it’s challenging to live up to people’s expectations, but Abhishek Bachchan has been doing that for a long time now. In his impressive career, Junior Bachchan has given many memorable performances. One of those came in the 2007 film Guru. As the film completed 17 years on Friday, Abhishek got the biggest compliment from his dad himself.

As the Mani Ratnam directorial completed 17 years, Abhishek shared a video collating memories of the film. The film also featured the actor opposite his now wife Aishwarya Rai. Interestingly, it was during the shoot of Guru only that he proposed Aishwarya. The video had some memorable stills from the film. It ended with the words, “Guru is and will forever remain close to my heart.”

The fans took to the comments section to praise Abhishek and his masterful performance in Guru. But the best compliment for Abhishek came from his dad. Big B took to the comments and wrote, “The best ever .. immaculate and unbeatable,” with multiple heart emojis.

Senior Bachchan has never shied away from hyping his son whenever he does amazing work. And this is just another example of that. Guru still remains one of Abhishek’s most iconic roles, and the actor continues to do some excellent work. His last release was Ghoomer.
