Amitabh spoke about him and said, “He’s the owner of Vyjayanthi Films along with his two daughters (Swapna, Priyanka) and I have never met a more simple, humble human being than Aswini. Every time on set, he’s the first person to be there, he’s at the airport to receive you, and he’ll ensure you’re protected, no one thinks like this.” Then Amitabh went on to say, “With all due respect,” before touching Aswini’s feet, who also touched his feet back in return.

Amitabh Bachchan gifts Kamal Haasan Kalki 2898 AD’s first ticket
A standout moment of the evening occurred when Amitabh Bachchan purchased the inaugural ticket to the film and graciously presented it to Kamal Haasan. Inviting Haasan onto the stage, Bachchan remarked, “I will give it to my colleague, my dear friend, my brother Kamal Haasan.” In response, Kamal fondly recalled waiting three weeks to watch the iconic film Sholay. He humorously lamented that such a gesture should have happened decades ago during Sholay’s release.
The ‘Indian 2’ actor said, “I wish this had happened 3-4 decades ago and he had given me the first-day first-show ticket of Sholay. I had to wait for three weeks to see that film. I hope there are many more fans who’d wait for many weeks to see this film like I did for Sholay.
He further added, “I never thought I would be here receiving the first day, first show ticket from Mr. Amitabh Bachchan. I was a film technician then, and now I am an actor. Nothing has changed.”
