The Shahenshah of Bollywood, veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan is fine. Contrary to reports circulating yesterday, the 81-year-old actor was not hospitalized but in fact, attended the final match of the Indian Street Premier League (ISPL) between Majhi Mumbai and Tigers of Kolkata. 

Yesterday afternoon, fans and movie lovers were left concerned as rumours of Bahchan’s ill health made the headlines. However, later in the day, he was snapped at the Dadoji Kondadev Stadium in Thane with his son Abhishek Bachchan.

At the event, someone from the crowd asked Big B about his health as he exited the venue. While he initially gestured with his hands to indicate everything was fine, he then said “Fake news.” Check out Amitabh Bachchan dismaying the claims in the viral video:

Taking to his Instagram handle, Big B shared a picture of him and Abhishek Bachchan interacting with Sachin Tendulkar. He captioned it, “What a humbling experience t his evening at the ISPL FINALS, to have spent time with the GREAT SACHIN .. and to learn and admire his incredible knowledge about Cricket (sic)”

Yesterday, reports began circulating that Mr Bachchan was admitted to Kokilaben Ambani Hospital for an angioplasty surgery. Reports claimed the actor has to undergo the for either a clot in his leg or a blocked artery.

The veteran actor is pretty active at 81 years old. His upcoming projects include Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD. This sci-fi dystopian film also features Deepika Padukone, Prabhas, Kamal Haasan, and Rana Daggubati in pivotal roles. Amitabh will also be seen in the Hindi remake of The Intern – co-starring Deepika Padukone and a courtroom drama titled Section 84 – directed by Ribhu Dasgupta.
