Amy Poehler’s Paper Kite Productions Hires Jenna Weiss-Berman To Run Audio Division

EXCLUSIVE: Amy Poehler’s Paper Kite Productions has hired former Audacy exec Jenna Weiss-Berman as head of its audio unit.

Weiss-Berman, a heavy hitter in the podcast business, who co-founded Pineapple Street Studios, the company behind Missing Richard Simmons and Wind of Change.

She will become Head of Paper Kite Audio, which was formerly known as Paper Kite Podcasts. The company is behind series such as Say More with Dr? Sheila and The Chris Chatman Do-Over and had a deal with Audacy.

Weiss-Berman, who has created and produced series such as Hidden Brain and Catch & Kill with Ronan Farrow, was previously EVP, Podcasts at Audacy. She will continue to consult with Audacy on projects for the next few months. 

Outside of the audio business, Paper Kite Productions, is behind series such as Netflix’s Russian Doll and Peacock’s The Gentle Art of Swedish Death Cleaning as well as Fox’s Duncanville and Comedy Central’s Broad City.
