The former OM player shares a misadventure of which he was the victim during his visit to the Marseille city.

It's not just the ordinary people who may be a victim of a scam, the footballers too! Their fortune can be the subject of many lusts as was the case of the former player of Olympique de Marseille Pape Gueye. The midfielder testified, on the YouTube channel Lechairman, of the scam of which he was the victim from a Senegalese influencer whom he had taken under his wing during his passage to the Marseille city: “I was in Marseille, and there was a personality on Snapchat, famous in the region. People have started to wonder about our friendship. Me, who had just arrived in this new city, I took this individual under my wing, considering it as a little brother since he was also Senegalese ».

However, the player was the victim of a breach of trust on the part of this influencer, whose names he did not mention. Indeed, the Senegalese indicates that this snapchactor would have diverted him from money on his bank account in Senegal: “I had a bank card from Senegal, where you had to go on the internet to consult your balance. So Senegal money, I didn’t touch it (…) I knew a few months after it was getting money via Paypal with my Senegal bank card so I did not receive the notifications ”.

“You have to be careful with everyone”

But then how could the influencer have had access to the bank account of the current Villarreal player? Pope Gueye indicates that he has invited the snapchactor many times to him. The influencer would then have taken the opportunity to take a picture of the player's bank card: “Fortunately, there was no burglary. However, I didn't let anyone enter. I was very careful. In a moment of distraction while we were together, he took a photo of my Senegalese bank card. I discovered months later that there were transfers via Paypal using my card, which explains why I have never received any notifications on this subject. “

Like what the closest can play bad tricks! If there is one lesson to learn from Pope Gueye's misadventure, it is not to trust anyone and to pay attention to who you get home!
