Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has no plans to retire in the near future.
The Italian coach is currently under contract in the Spanish capital until the end of the 2025/26 season after extending his deal in December 2023. He led Los Blancos to a La Liga and UEFA Champions League double last season to claim a fifth title in the latter as part of his incredible coaching career.
The 65-year-old remains one of the world’s best coaches, despite approaching retirement age, but he has no plans to walk away from the game just yet. I’m always nervous before a match, I feel pressure, and as long as that doesn’t change, I’ll continue here.”according to Relevo. “I will retire when the passion I have for football has disappeared.”
Ancelotti will not move
Ancelotti’s comments show how the passion still burns within him and he is excited by the prospect of a new era under his leadership at Madrid.
Despite a mixed start to the season, Ancelotti and his experienced side will not be fazed as their Champions League title defence begins on September 17 at home to VfB Stuttgart.
