Carlo Ancelotti is not known for getting angry easily. Yet that was the case in Real Madrid’s first game of the season.

On Sunday, Real Madrid travelled to Mallorca for the first day of La Liga. The merengue club could not do better than a draw (1-1). Beyond the loss of two points, it was the attitude of some of his players that irritated Carlo Ancelotti.

According to Brandthe Italian coach did not appreciate the way his team played. At half-time, when the “white house” was leading (0-1) thanks to a goal from Rodrygo, the former Paris Saint-Germain coach is said to have “shouted” in the locker room. The Mister criticized his men for their lack of realism.

Ancelotti, the warning

“We are not happy, we could have done much better, he had stressed in the post-match press conference. I don’t want to make excuses, we just had to do better, with more attitude. We can learn a lot from this game because we saw very clearly where we could have problems.”

On Sunday, at 5pm, Real Madrid will try to make up for it by hosting Valladolid for the second day of the Spanish championship. A match where Kylian Mbappé’s performance will once again be scrutinized, knowing that the captain of the Blues was heavily criticized after the match in Mallorca.
