Netflix has debuted the first trailer for Lee Daniels‘ new movie! The 64-year-old Oscar-nominated filmmaker directed the upcoming movie The Deliverance, based on a true story, starring Andra Day, Glenn Close, Mo’Nique, and Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor. Here’s the synopsis: “Ebony Jackson (Day), a struggling single mother fighting her personal demons, moves her family into a new home for a fresh start. But when strange occurrences inside the home raise the suspicions of Child Protective Services and threaten to tear the family apart, Ebony soon finds herself locked in a battle for her life and the souls of her children.” Keep reading to find out more…Anthony B. Jenkins, Miss Lawrence, Demi Singleton, Tasha Smith, Omar Epps, and Caleb McLaughlin also star in the movie. In an interview from last year, Mo’Nique talked about ending her years-long feud with Lee. The Deliverance will be released on Netflix on August 30.
