Andrade scored a big win on WWE Speed.
The June 5 episode of WWE Speed featured a first-round match in the #1 Contender’s Tournament, and Andrade faced Karl Anderson. “El Idolo” picked up the win in less than a minute. In doing so, he punched his ticket to the next round, where he will face Tommaso Ciampa. The winner of that match will challenge WWE Speed Champion Ricochet for the title.
Andrade returned to WWE at WWE Royal Rumble. He was involved in a storyline with Dominik Mysterio and The Judgment Day. At WWE WrestleMania 40, Andrade and Rey Mysterio beat Dominik and Santos Escobar. The former WWE United States Champion was then drafted to SmackDown. He defeated Apollo Crews on the May 31 episode.
