While rumors have suggested that he is going to hang up his boots, Andy Delort has no intention of retiring.

No, Andy Delort is not going to end his football career. The Algerian international has just left his training at Umm-Salal in Qatar and is ready to take on another challenge.

If rumors of an early retirement have circulated about the former Nantes player it is because he collapsed twice in the space of a few weeks on a pitch. Victim each time of epileptic seizure. Some sources have suggested that he had serious health problems but this is not at all the case.

Delort back in France?

According to the media “La Vague Verte”, Delort wants to continue playing and do so even at the highest level. It is out of the question to no longer practice his profession, as long as there is no contrary indication which dissuades him from doing so.

Delort could certainly still interest several French elite teams. He is the 6th highest active Ligue 1 scorer with 85 goals, almost half of which were scored in Montpellier (40 goals), where he stayed for three seasons (2018-2021).
