To strengthen itself in the race to remain in La Liga, UD Las Palmas is moving into Ligue 2. Indeed, the Gran Canaria club formalized this Tuesday, January 21, the signing of Lecce defender, Andy Pelmard. The former Nice player joins the club on loan until the end of the season, an agreement including a purchase option, the amount of which was not mentioned by the Spaniards.

Having passed through Basel and Clermont among others, the French defender had no more playing time since his return from loan to Lecce with only three Serie A matches played, including only one as a starter. The 24-year-old will try to relaunch his career in La Liga, having shown great things in Ligue 1 during his spells at Nice and Clermont.
