Ange Postecoglou faced another unhappy Tottenham fan after his side suffered yet another loss in the Premier League.

A video shared on X showed Postecoglou appear to consider confronting one particularly angry fan before deciding against it.

"You’re taking us down, we’re going down with you," the spectator shouted towards Postecoglou as left the pitch and headed down the tunnel.

The boss appeared to hear it as he backtracked up the tunnel and looked to make eye contact with the fan before deciding against any potential confrontation.

Postecoglou has previously had a run-in with fans, notably after the 1-0 defeat away to Bournemouth.

He went over to the side of the pitch when fans were shouting abuse at him in the away end. As the boss approached them, the booing continued as one fan labelled him 'Postenoclue'.

"They're disappointed and I got some pretty direct feedback, which is always healthy mate," he said after the match.

Tottenham have now failed to win any of their last seven Premier League games, drawing once and losing six matches.

This is Spurs' longest winless run in the top-flight since a nine-match stint between May and October 2008.

Speaking about Spurs' latest defeat, Postecoglou said: "It hurts a lot.

"The players gave everything again. We are going to look at a lot of things, but in terms of effort I can't ask anymore of this group, things just didn't go our way today.

"We created some good opportunities and unfortunately things just didn't drop for us, not because the players weren't trying and that's the main thing.

The Spurs boss insisted how much his players are trying amid a lengthy injury list.

He said: "I see a group of players that are giving as much as they can. I know it will turn. We'll get some players back, we were short again today but in the next couple of weeks there's some really important players coming back that I know will help this group.

"We've not hit a ceiling. We've been going like this for two months. They put in an enormous performance on Thursday to make sure we're okay in Europe.

"There were probably at least two or three players that weren't at 100 per cent. I'm a football manager and I get judged on results, that is the way of the world" he said.

The defeat at home was inflicted by Jamie Vardy and Bilal El Khannouss - with Vardy mocking James Maddison's dart celebration after he levelled for the visitors.

It felt like a familiar story for Spurs fans, whose jubilation from Richarlison's opener was swiftly curtailed by two goals from the Foxes.

The defeat leaves Spurs in 15th in the league table, just eight points above the relegation zone.

talkSPORT reported earlier this week that Postecoglou's job isn't under immediate threat with the club recognising the huge injury list in the ranks.

Having lost 13 league games, Spurs will need to find form with or without their injured stars if they are to avoid entering a relegation battle towards the business end of the season.

Whilst they remain battling on a few fronts for their first piece of silverware since 2008, it adds more strain to an already stretched - and injured - squad.
