Business and mining colossus, Ms Angela List’s, rightful position as a shareholder and director of BCM, a mining services company that operates across sub-Saharan Africa and Jordan, has been reaffirmed by the company.
Mr Alex Obu Simpson, the Group Human Resource Manager, said in a statement that, “Ms List has been an integral part of BCM International’s growth and success, playing a crucial role in shaping the company’s vision and strategy.
Her contributions were instrumental in driving the company’s expansion and establishing its reputation as a leader in the mining industry from the year 2001 to 2020.

The endorsement follows a recent court ruling which unequivocally confirmed Angela List’s position as a shareholder and director of BCM.
According to him, the ruling brings an end to a lengthy dispute and provides clarity on the company’s leadership and ownership structure.
Additionally, Mr Simpson stated that Ms List’s rightful ownership and leadership has been supported by relevant company documents which unequivocally establishes her position within the company, adding that, “This clarification is expected to bring stability and certainty to BCM International, allowing the company to focus on its future growth and development.”

Mr Simpson indicated that BCM International expanded beyond West Africa to Central Asia and Middle East under her leadership and was poised to embark on a new chapter of growth and innovation.
Moreover, he described Ms List as a dedicated philanthropist who has made significant contributions to various social causes, particularly in the areas of education and women empowerment.
“As the CEO of Nguvu Mining and Adamus Resources, she has been instrumental in driving the company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
Additionally, Angela List has been recognised for her commitment to promoting gender inclusivity in the mining industry. Through Nguvu Mining’s Women in Mining Initiative, she has worked to empower women in the sector and promote diversity and inclusion.”
